On Friday 10/7/16 over 200 beekeepers gathered at Dadant and Sons Inc Fresno CA warehouse for Dadant’s official grand opening. Door prizes were given out every 30-45 minutes consisting of new Dadant smokers and autographed copies of the newly revised edition of The Hive and Honeybee. At the end of the day, two grand prizes were given out. One lucky beekeeper was the proud winner of a Dadant made Ranger Power Honey Extractor and the other recipient won a pallet of Dadant Pollen Substitute Patties AP23.
Dadant and Sons have been in the Valley city of Fresno for over 40 years and are at their third warehouse since branching out to this west coast location. Beekeepers young and old expressed their gratitude to the Dadant team for their years of service to CA beekeepers. Tim and Gabe Dadant made it out from the IL headquarters for the day’s events along with Fresno warehouse manager Jeff Yeramian, past warehouse manager Pat Eakle, and Dadant staff members. Soft drinks and refreshments were served all day along with Fresno’s favorite food truck Smoking Burritos who provided customers with their spin of ca/mex cuisine. Everyone was in great spirits reminiscing about honey crops of years past and hopeful for next season and a bountiful harvest.
