Entrance reducers are commonly used during the summer and winter months to limit or expand the number of bees entering and exiting the hive. Standard 10-frame beehive accessories like frame spacers and feeders work together to keep your colony organized and well-resourced. Frame spacers allow you to evenly space out your frames for ease of use. Bee feeders are used when temperatures are too hot or too cold for the bees to do their own foraging. A pollen trap is an item that is placed over the hive entrance and has tiny little openings for the bees to squeeze through that drops some of their pollen into a collection tray. Pollen traps, like most accessories for Langstroth hives, require no permanent modification to the hive and can be added or removed as your management needs change.
